Camp Pendleton

Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California

Camp Pendleton project

MCB Camp Pendleton covers more than 125,000 acres of Southern California and has over 2,600 buildings and structures. This project replaced existing Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) natural gas main and lateral service piping, which dated back to its original installation and had expired its expected useful life. Crews constructed 5 miles of HDPE gas pipeline, replaced 15 services, commissioned the pipeline and abandoned existing PVC main and lateral service piping. Camp Pendleton is an active military base with ongoing training operations, so minimizing our impact was a key focus throughout the 8-month project.
