Pearl Apartments

Installation of vaults, primary and secondary conduits for power and telecommunications to a seven-story, 58-unit apartment building in Portland’s Pearl District. During installation, crews discovered that the soil quality would not support the vault. After lowering equipment down into the hole, they were able to over-excavate and backfill with matting and compacted to gravel to create a solid base for the vault to sit on. Additionally, the scope included the installation of a 10-series power vault to house multiple conduits and power cables to serve the building.
